What personal data do we process?

The CAVV processes only personal data that you yourself have provided. What personal data do we process?

  • Email address
  • Other personal data as actively provided by you, for example during written correspondence or on the telephone.

What is the purpose and legal basis for CAVV to process your personal data?

The CAVV processes your personal data for the purpose of distributing advisory reports and a newsletter and/or arranging seminars or lectures. The legal basis is consent.

How long is personal data kept?

The CAVV does not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected.

Sharing personal data with third parties

The CAVV does not share your personal data with third parties. It provides such data only if it is necessary in order to fulfil our agreement with you or to meet a statutory requirement. We enter into an agreement with any company that processes your data on our behalf. This ensures a uniform level of data protection and confidentiality. The CAVV remains responsible for such instances of data processing.

Accessing, rectifying or erasing data

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw consent for the processing of your data, and to object to the processing of your data by the CAVV. In addition you have the right to ‘data portability’. This means you can ask us to send a computer file containing the personal data in our possession to you or to another organisation of your choice.

You can submit a request to cavv@minbuza.nl to access your personal data, correct it or have it removed or sent to another organisation, or to withdraw your consent or lodge an objection to the processing of your data. You will receive a response to your request within four weeks. If you wish to submit a complaint, you can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority, which is the national supervisory body.

How do we protect personal data?

The CAVV takes data protection seriously, and takes suitable measures to combat abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted publication and unauthorised amendment of data.
